Kate Armitage+Gary Fisher / Ctrl Freq – 12 October 2017

Kate Armitage and Gary Fisher will bring together their unique individual styles of improvisation for a collaborative performance involving found objects, percussion and other curious noises. There will be discord, humour and possibly, moments of harmony.

Kate’s debut solo album is out now on cassette on Fractal Meat Cuts.

Ctrl Freq (Kacper Ziemianin) has background in classical music and a lot of adventures in sound. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Sonic Arts from Middlsex University and Master’s degree in Sonology at the Royal Conservatory in Den Hague, the Netherlands. In the meantime, he also studied at the Cracow Music Academy with Marek Choloniewski, at STEIM in Amsterdam, and at the University of Arts in Berlin with Alberto de Campo.
Sound designer, circuit bender, vagabond, improviser, producer, audio-hacker, instrument designer, nomad, radio presenter, workshop leader, squatter. His audio installations and sounds have been shown/played in many places around the globe.
Currently based in the Hague, NL working as a freelance instrument designer and performer as well as teacher of DIY electronics at the Royal Academy of Arts and event curator at studio LOOS.
